Have you ever heard someone say "my job search was easy!"? We haven't either. In this workshop, learn 5 key tips to get your resume in top shape, find relevant job prospects, get more interview requests, ace your interview, and more!

Here are the 5 key tips and activities we'll discuss best practices and resources around:
1. Resume content best practices and optimization (so you can rank highly in an ATS)
2. Effective networking and outreach (i.e. going the "Referral Route" and/or using a 2nd outreach channel)
3. Fine-tuning your professional elevator pitch
4. Ways to communicate your "candidate credibility" and get a “candidate advantage”
5. Top tips for effective interview preparation

Erica Woods is the Director of Contractor Programs and Philanthropy at Apex Systems. Her focus is on overseeing programs, teams, communication channels, and other resources that support and add value to their IT Contractor Community of 16,000+. Erica also oversees corporate philanthropy efforts and acts as a technical community evangelist for various STEM programs/nonprofits. She has 15 years of experience in the IT staffing world and an MBA from Loyola University. She is a Professional and Career Development Author for the MSSQLTips.com online technical community, presents Career Development sessions for various communities, including SQL Saturdays, Code Camps, PMI PDDs, BA World conferences, and provides internal and external Team, Attitude and Performance Coaching. Erica is a Co-Founder of the ‘Baltimore Techies for Good’ MeetUp group, and Co-Founder/Co-Organizer of the Tampa Tech4Good MeetUp group, which are monthly events that bring together technical and marketing folks looking for skills-based volunteering opportunities with nonprofits in need of technology help/guidance.

As Director of PMO Solutions, Cate is responsible for managing the nationally-based talent acquisition strategies of the Apex Systems PMO and Business Analysis Practice, including leading the efforts for supporting the needs of our clients’ PMO. She develops competitive strategies to effectively build and maintain a strong candidate community. Throughout her 15+ year career in talent acquisition, Cate has performed various roles within recruiting and management including leading the delivery function of our Ohio markets and managing a team of skill-based recruiters. Cate is PMP and CSM certified and is affiliated with numerous professional networking and leadership groups. She is a Professional Development Author for MSSQLTips.com, a Speaker at PMI® Professional Development Day events and chapter meetings, and a Speaker on the Project Summit*Business Analyst World conference series.
