Speaker Bio:

Erica Woods, Director, IT Contractor Programs and Philanthropy, Apex Systems 

Erica oversees programs, resources, and other initiatives that support Apexs’ 20,000+ Contractor Community. Erica also leads corporate philanthropy and STEM efforts, and assists Apexs’ 4 Cs (candidates/job seekers, contractors, client managers, and communities) with a variety of coaching. She has 15+ years of experience in the IT staffing and solutions world and an MBA from Loyola University. She is a Professional Development Author for Apex, MSSQLTips.com, and has presented Job Seeker, Career Development, Hiring Tips and Employee Engagement sessions for associations, groups, and conferences. Lastly, Erica is involved in three external passion projects in the nonprofit technology arena: Co-Organizer of Tampa Tech4Good and 100 Techies Who Care groups and a TechSoup Ambassador in Tampa.

Jim Meulendyke, Managing Director of Wisconsin, Apex Systems

As the managing director of our Wisconsin offices, Jim is directly responsible for all office operations including leading the account management and delivery functions. As managing director, he is actively involved in client partnerships, dedicates resources to coordinate appropriate recruiting support and leverages his knowledge to help build long term, mutually beneficial partnerships. Jim will lead the branch to ensure continuity among our sales, recruiting and delivery efforts.

Jim is a top performer with Apex Systems and serves our Wisconsin market clients within the industries of Financial Services, Consumer Industrials, Healthcare, and Engineering. During his ten year tenure with Apex, Jim has been honored numerous times for his outstanding service to clients and ability to develop mutually beneficial business relationships.

Presentation Description:

Purpose and passion fuels performance, retention, and many other things. Yet most team members struggle to connect the dots on seeing their purpose in action. How the work they do truly matters to the team, organization, and key stakeholders. As a leader and individual contributor, how do you help people see the difference they make? How do you recognize them, or suggest recognition opportunities, in ways that matter? In this session, we’ll share specific ways to achieve this and are easy to implement on any team which won’t overload your already busy work life!
