Speaker Bio:
Jerry Pickett is a seasoned project leader with 40 years of experience driving complex initiatives to success. A proud member of the Project Management Institute since 2002, he has delivered high-impact projects across six continents— North America, South America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. His career includes pivotal roles in five AI startup companies, where he honed expertise at the intersection of innovation and execution. Most recently, he spent 11 years with Rockwell Automation, leading IT project management and M & A program management to deliver corporate acquisitions with precision. He recently completed a master’s Certificate in AI and Machine Learning at the Milwaukee School of Engineering University. He brings cutting-edge knowledge and decades of real-world wisdom to today’s AI conversation.
Presentation Description:
This presentation will provide an overview of artificial intelligence for project managers and provide the distinction between practical AI and theoretical AI. It can be challenging to fully adopt AI because it is a dynamic, fast-growing, and high technology that is rapidly changing. To help project managers with AI literacy we will review and discuss many of the PMI.org AI training resources. We will also outline workable steps for adopting AI for professional project management careers.
